Regulations for Rhine navigation personnel (RPN)
Important: a new version of the RPN came into force on 1st April 2033. The annexes and administrative instructions of the previous version of the RPN continue to be valid in accordance with the transitional provisions (Chapter 20 of the new RPN). They remain in publication unamended below for information. A restructured version will be published some time in 2023.

This applies in particular to registers of type-approved equipment (navigational radar installations, rate-of-turn indicators, Inland AIS equipment, on-board sewage treatment plants, ...), but also registers of the competent authorities for issuing type approvals, approved technical services and approved specialist firms for the installation or replacement of approved equipment.
Registers of the inspection bodies in the States bordering the Rhine and Belgium, as well as the competent authorities responsible for assigning European vessel identification numbers (ENI) are also published on this site.
