Practical applications and products are the focus of the RIS Workshop of the Central Commission for the Navigation of the Rhine (CCNR), which is taking place for the third time.

The CCNR RIS workshop is specifically tailored to the information needs of the shipping sector, equipment producers, vessel outfitters and logistics companies active in inland navigation. Simultaneous translation is foreseen.

Leading experts and producers of RIS applications will inform the participants with presentations and in discussions about current standards, the availability of information leaflets, specially developed applications and products for
- Inland AIS,
- Inland ECDIS,
- Electronic Reporting and
- Notices to Skippers.

The “market place” will provide opportunities for individual discussions at producers' exhibition stands.

The workshop will be free of charge. However, space is limited and a registration before 27th October 2008 is necessary.
