The CCNR is currently amending the ADNR (regulation on the transportation of dangerous goods on the Rhine) to take into account the risks that such goods involve for the aquatic environment and health. These amendments are in the form of changes in the classification of materials and their allocation to the various types of tanker vessels. New large-scale double-hulled vessels are constantly coming into circulation. What will happen to single-hulled vessels? What solutions could be envisaged for the transport of dangerous goods on canals? To provide answers to the various questions raised by this topic, the CCNR is organising another round table discussion on the evolution of transport by tanker on inland waterways on.
